Athletic Facilities
Kelly Fieldhouse
的 Kelly Fieldhouse is the crown jewel of the Prep’s on-campus Athletic Facilities. With a newly renovated floor and scoreboard, the Fieldhouse is home to Prep Basketball, 摔跤, and Volleyball. 的 space contains the width of four full-regulation basketball courts, with one game court in the middle with seating for well over 1,000名粉丝.
Above the courts, 越野, Track, and Football are able to warm up on the beautiful rubber track with four lanes for relay practices. Erg机器, elliptical machines, and stationary bikes located near the track provide Prep student-athletes a solid warm up before they hit the starting line.

St. 约瑟夫’s Prep is home to the Brendan J. Giblin ‘02 Swimming Pool. Located just off the Kelly Fieldhouse, this 5 lane competition pool, complete with a scoreboard and spectator seating, is home to the St. 约瑟夫’s Prep Varsity Swim Team.
James "Mace" Thompson '59 Athletic Center
的 former Multi Purpose Room has been transformed to create “的 Mace,” a state-of-the-art facility featuring a 30-yard Turf Field and the new Quinn 摔跤 Gym. Fittingly located near the Hall of Excellence, Mace's spirit lives on with this gift to the For Others Forever campaign—an integral milestone in the history of St. 约瑟的准备.
的 Prep is the only Philadelphia school with this kind of facility; every team at the school benefits from this turf practice facility that is versatile and convenient on campus for all of our teams.

4,400 square foot 重量的房间 offers our teams the best and most up to date equipment for all types of athletic training. With a close proximity to the Kelly Fieldhouse and Mezzanine, this second floor facility is outfitted with 20 Olympic racks, glut-ham machines and 4 cable units, a full suite of dumbbells, 壶铃, free-weights and plyometric equipment. 的 newly added cutting-edge equipment offers the ability for all students and teams to utilize the 重量的房间 and all it has to offer with space to spare. Student-athletes, staff and faculty of all skill levels benefit from new space and all it has to offer the community.
Gillin Boathouse
With more than 20 Varsity teams, St. 约瑟的准备 athletic facilities far surpass our campus location on 17th & 吉拉尔.
Our hockey teams have home ice advantage at Penn's Class of 1923 Rink and the Skatium in Havertown. 越野 uses the historic Belmont Plateau for weekday home meets and other locations in the expansive Fairmount Park are home to many of our squads including Ultimate Frisbee, 足球, Mountain Biking, 和橄榄球.
Prep Crew practices and competes a few miles away from school on the banks of the Schuylkill River in the beautiful Robert M. 吉林,小. Boathouse dedicated in 2002. Located near the Strawberry Mansion Bridge at the 1,000-meter mark of the famed Schuylkill River race course, Prep rowers are able to cheer for their teammates as they cross the finish line near the historic grandstand.
的 Gillin Boathouse, home of the Prep’s historic rowing program, houses four heated boat bays and ample space for winter training. 的 Boathouse is home to the 牧师. J. Vincent Taggart, S.J. 赛艇中心 named for longtime moderator of Prep Crew. St. 约瑟的准备 is the only high school in Philadelphia with its own Boathouse. 去准备!

In addition to stunning facilities on and off-campus, St. 约瑟的准备 体育运动 would not function without our coaches, volunteers, and fans. We are extremely grateful to the many coaches—full time and volunteer—moderators, 校友, and parents who make it possible for our student-athletes to shine in their athletic endeavors.
